Episode 160 - The TV Jones Spectra Sonic Supreme with Niklas Dahre of Liar Thief Bandit

When TV Jones took the leap from working on guitars to falling in love with pickups, we were all better off. His Filtertron-type designs have become the standard by which so many others are measured. Just ask Gretsch; they put TV's pickups in their guitars, and even asked him to design a guitar for them. We take a closer look at the TV Jones Spectra Sonic Supreme.

Also on hand for this episode is Niklas Dahre, of the Swedish band Liar Thief Bandit. LTB have just released a new album, and our man Ed's night photo from Joshua Tree graces the cover! Niklas talks touring, tech'ing and guitar repair (he owns the Malmö Guitarrverkstad).

Of course, beverages, pedals and misc references to seemingly unrelated things come standard with each episode. Enjoy!

Beverages!

Podcasting is thirsty work; it’s crucial that everyone involved stay hydrated. The following fine beverages contributed to the success of this episode: Ed continues his juice rampage; anything that looks remotely grindable ends up in his new industrial shred-box. John is still practicing sound probiotic health with a juice beverage containing...probiotics. He continues to be hooked on GoodBelly, primarily because it smells like latex paint (which he likes). Special guest Niklas Dahre, all the way from Malmö, Sweden, has come prepared with a refreshing non-alcohol, pomegranate-flavored Barbican malt beverage. This week’s beverage intro song clip, performed NOT live in-studio was Lite grann från ovan by Edvard Persson.
