Episode 121 - The Airline 7215 Stratotone

The Chicago Boys (the vast assortment of instrument makers in mid-20th century Chicago) made instruments, by and large, meant as starter models to be bought mainly from catalogs. Many of us have fond memories of these instruments as they were our first, but how do they hold up under the harsh light of adulthood? We’re happy to say one such example, the Airline 7215 Stratotone, apologizes to no-one.

Beverages!

Podcasting is thirsty work; it’s crucial that everyone involved stay hydrated. The following fine beverage contributed to the success of this episode: Ed rocked some Orca, with Frostie Blue. Sure, it's the color of Windex, but it's the flavor your sweetest dreams... John kept the Orca Beverages party going with a fabulous Americana Black Cherry. Something about the old-timey sodey pops gets him all weepy-eyed and nostalgic... This week’s beverage intro song clip, performed live in-studio (mostly) is I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore by REO Speedwagon.
